Crush Life Story Lab Residency at Henrietta Hudson

Spring, 2026

Every other Thursday, 6-8PM

Henrietta Hudson is a queer human space built by Lesbians.

As tensions rise in public discourse around queerness, Crush Life Story Lab offers a mossy space.

At the Story Lab, Instead of debate, we gather musings. Instead of defensiveness, we cultivate connection. We build a mossy creative space where people can soften, relax, and make room for more.

Content created by participants, and contributed to the Crush Life Story Lab archive for sharing with the world and each other. We’ll post a gallery after each event here and on Instagram.

Next up

The next story lab we are writing letters to past, present, and future baby queers.

The evening will be creative exercises to unlock voice and letter writing to the baby queers with the wisdoms and shenanigans we want to pass on to future generations. What do we know about how things are? Was there a secret code that unlocked your freedom? How do you navigate the world? What is true about love and relationships?

Say what you have been meaning to say.

Uplift our challenges and joys together.

This is for us.

Everyone gets a notebook. Some participants are turning their notebooks over to the archive, building a living collection of our stories. Others take theirs home, which is just as welcome.

Everyone gets a pin for participating.

Everyone is welcome in this creative space.

  • "These prompts are wild and generous."

  • "I have a new vision for my creative process"

  • "I love the spontaneity, and the stories it brings out of me."

  • "The exercises helped me access the collective unconscious in my writing."

Henrietta Hudson is actively uplifting its voice as belonging to the gender expansive community, while remaining a long established home for lesbians.

“Since 1991, Hen’s has stood as a pillar in the community, activist space, and safe haven. While it is the longest running lesbian bar in the country, we are a Queer Human Bar. We embrace our entire community and seek to uplift everyone.”

Every other Thursday Happy Hour for three months, the community will gather for a two hour facilitated storytelling lab by Crush Life Manifesto publisher, Danielle Coates-Connor.

The topic is gender expansion, queer joy, our lives, the times …
